Sir Michael Caine has officially changed his name in hopes of spending less time in security lines as European airports beef up security under threat from ISIS.

On Wednesday, the 83-year-old actor, whose real name is Maurice Joseph Micklewhite, announced that he took legal action to change his name to his stage name Michael Caine after numerous run-ins with airport security officials over the difference between his stage name and the name on his identification, according to The Guardian.  (RELATED: Michael Caine Trashes Gender Pay Gap, Says Elizabeth Taylor Made Way More Money)

“An airport security guard would say, ‘Hi, Michael Caine,’ and suddenly I’d give him a passport with a different name on it,” Caine said. “I could stand there for an hour. So I changed my name.”
