Bill Press, a Bernie Sanders supporter and CNN political commentator, said on Monday, the former chair of the Democratic National Committee Debbie Wasserman Schultz “destroyed” the “unity” of the Democratic National Convention.

Appearing on CNN “At This Hour Berman and Bolduan,” Press said, “Right now, as a Democrat, my goal is to have a great united convention. The unity of this convention has been destroyed, at least temporarily, by Debbie Wasserman Schultz. That’s what I find embarrassing for my party.” (RELATED: Wasserman Schultz Shouted Down At Florida Rally Over DNC Email Scandal)

Host Kate Bolduan followed up, “You are a former superdelegate. Do you support people being — if you were looking for unity, do you also support people booing her on the convention floor tonight?” (RELATED: Debbie Wasserman Schultz Should Probably Delete This Tweet Now)

“Look, if I were there, I would tell her, I would probably be booing her on the floor,” Press admitted. “But, you know, the people are upset. But I want to say, it’s not just the Sanders people. I keep making that point. The Clinton people should be upset because she has stolen the thunder and the show and the spotlight from Hillary Clinton. Get back on Hillary and Tim Kaine, and the only way to do is to get Debbie Wasserman Schultz off the stage.” (RELATED: Leaked DNC Documents Show Plans To Reward Big Donors With Federal Appointments)
