In an apparent effort to show off the party’s commitment to transgender rights, the Democratic National Convention has repurposed several women’s bathrooms at the Wells Fargo Center to serve “all genders.”

One all-gender restroom can apparently be found on each floor of the arena.

The special Democratic convention sign makes it clear that the bathrooms aren’t permanently all-gender; instead, the DNC appears to have simply re-purposed existing women’s restrooms in the arena. (RELATED: DNC Prayer Room Shows No Sign Of Any Religion Except Islam)

The Daily Caller News Foundation observed the restroom for a brief period and saw no obviously transgender people use it. Instead it was mostly used by cisgender women, along with a handful of men.

Bathroom use has become a recurring issue on the American political scene. Numerous colleges across the country have created “gender-neutral” restrooms for students who feel uncomfortable using facilities assigned to males or females. Meanwhile, the Obama administration is forging ahead in an effort to force every public school in the country to allow students to use whatever bathroom they want. Several states are resisting the order.
