“As some of you may know I support Bernie Sanders and the movement behind him,” Silverman told the crowd in the Wells Fargo Center. “He’s succeeded in so many ways.”

“He made us realize what was possible and what we deserve. Bernie showed us that all Americans deserve quality healthcare and education, not just the elite.”

But when Silverman said she was now supporting Clinton as the Democratic nominee, parts of the crowd began chanting, “Bernie! Bernie! Bernie!” Then other parts of the arena also began chanting, “Hillary! Hillary! Hillary”

“Can I just say to the “Bernie or bust” people: You’re being ridiculous,” Silverman said. (RELATED: Sarah Silverman Is Not Voting For Hillary)

In March, Silverman said she would not be voting for Clinton.

“Hillary had always been my choice,” Silverman said. “I’m a feminist. Democratic woman president? Yes, please.”

“But she takes a lot of money from big corporations and banks, the very people she says she’s going to stand up to. Look, I accepted it because I saw it as a necessary evil.”

“I’m not against Hillary, I’ve just met someone I have more in common with, and his name is Bernie Sanders.”

“He’s really popular with both sides, everyone likes him, and he’s not for sale, not playing the game and says what he means. He’s been on the right side of history at every turn—not along with history when it becomes popular, but before it’s popular.”
