There may have been some embarrassing subliminal messaging at the Democratic National Convention Monday night during Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s speech: the backdrop looked very similar to email icons.

Presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee have had a tortured relationship with email. While secretary of state, Clinton operated a private email server while which FBI Director James Comey called “extremely careless.” Clinton also deleted almost 30,000 emails from her tenure. More recently, almost 22,000 emails were released to Wikileaks from the Democratic National Committee. Some of the emails have been critical of gays as well as showing planned meetings between the DNC, the Clinton campaign, and allies of Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe. (RELATED: Leaked DNC Memo Complains Gay Donor Is ‘Extremely High Maintenance’)

The DNC Wikileaks dump also included the revelation that the DNC planned on rewarding major donors and fundraisers appointments to federal commissions and boards. (RELATED: Leaked DNC Documents Show Plans To Reward Big Donors With Federal Appointments)
