Florida Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson snapped at a Politico reporter at a press event in Philadelphia after the reporter asked for comment on claims of assault made by his ex-wife Tuesday.

Grayson allegedly assaulted his wife for decades, according to Politico. Grayson’s ex-wife, Lolita Grayson, produced decades of police reports and other court documents attempting to establish a pattern of violence on the part of the embattled representative.
Grayson went well beyond refuting the claims in an official statement made by his attorney, “Lolita is a disturbed woman. She has made one false allegation after another. Her own daughter refutes her.” Grayson claims Lolita actually abused him. In the Politico report, he asked his assistant to record an interaction with his wife, “So she doesn’t hit herself with a frying pan and blame me.”
Grayson accused the reporter of assault, and told the reporter he would send a video of the exchange to the police. Grayson ended the exchange by telling the reporter, “I just hope someone arrests you.”
