Photos and gifs of Bernie Sanders supporters crying over his surrender of the Democratic presidential nomination to Hillary Clinton are flying around the Internet like wildfire.

When he spoke at the Democratic National Convention Monday night, his supporters were described as “weeping” on the convention floor.

And once the floodgates were opened, well.

There were gifs.

Devastating screenshots.

More photos of screens.

Moderately funny jokes.

Just so many tears.

The man himself started crying when his brother, a delegate, cast a vote for him Tuesday.

Happily for at least one girl, a friend offered a shoulder to cry on.
