Republican nominee Donald Trump had a lot to say about Russian President Vladimir Putin and Putin’s level of respect for President Barack Obama at a press conference in his Trump National Doral In Miami hotel Wednesday

“I hope we get along great with Putin. It would be great to have a good relationship with Russia. Right now, we don’t have a good relationship. Putin said things over the last year that are really bad things. He mentioned the n-word one time. I was shocked to hear him mention the n-word. You know what the n-word is, right? He mentioned it. I was shocked. A total lack of respect for President Obama. Number one, he doesn’t like him, and number two, he doesn’t respect him. I think he’ll respect your president if I’m elected,” Trump told reporters Wednesday.

This isn’t the first time Trump talked about the lack of respect Putin has for American leadership. During the primary process, Trump talked about being “stablemates” with Putin, asserting that since he met the man, he knew how to talk to him. Trump tweeted repeatedly throughout the last year that Putin was “laughing at us,” and that we needed stronger American leadership.
