French Front National Assemblywoman Marion Maréchal-Le Pen said Wednesday she is ready to join the French military reserves due to the Islamic State-inspired attacks in Nice and Normandy.

Maréchal-Le Pen — the niece of National Front party boss and member of European Parliament, Marine Le Pen — is the youngest MP ever elected to the French National Assembly when she was 22 years old.

“In light of the tragic circumstances, I think we have to go beyond political engagement. Joining the Reserves is a citizen act,” the political scion said on French television channel BFMTV. She said she is now “ready to put myself under the flags.”

France’s youngest MP encouraged others to follow her lead, saying, “I believe that young French patriots should also [join the military reserves] do this citizen act.”

The MP’s comments come in the wake of two ISIS-inspired terrorists raiding a Catholic Church in Normandy Tuesday, where they murdered a priest and took hostages before police killed them.

The Normandy church attack comes less than two weeks after another ISIS-inspired terrorist used a truck to run over and kill 84 people in Nice on Bastille Day — France’s national day. France also suffered the Charlie Hebdo killings in January 2015 and the November 2015 Paris attacks.
