Vice President Joe Biden will be making an appearance on NBC’s “Law & Order: SVU.”

“While in New York, the Vice President will tape an appearance on ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Units’ on the rape kit backlog and efforts to end violence against women,” the White House said in a statement to Politico.

Biden, a vocal proponent of the 1994 Violence Against Women Act, has worked extensively to bring the issue to the forefront of the public eye. Over the last few years, Biden has made raising awareness about sexual assault one of his primary focuses.

In Feb., the VP introduced Lady Gaga at the Academy Awards while informing viewers about It’s On Us, an initiative under the Obama administration that aims to end sexual assault on college campuses.

It is unknown exactly which episode of “Law & Order: SVU” Biden will appear in, though the outlet did describe his appearance as “forthcoming.”
