Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani blasted the media’s double standard in coverage of Donald Trump on Sunday arguing that Hillary Clinton’s lies about Benghazi should “get as much attention” as Trump’s comments about the Khan family.

Appearing on ABC’s “This Week,” Giuliani said, “I think her comments, Hillary’s comments, just don’t get the same attention that Trump’s do. For example, she lied to a Gold Star mother. She lied to Patricia Smith, the mother of Sean Smith who was killed at Benghazi, I believe, because of her incompetence, her incompetence in failing to secure that mission.” (RELATED: Hillary Criticizes Benghazi Hero’s Mom: She ‘May Not Fully Recall Everything’ [VIDEO])

Clinton “lied to her on September 14, 2012, right at the coffin. She said, it was due to a video. So, I think that’s far more serious or at least it should get as much attention as all the attention that was paid to the comments that were made about the Khan family,” Giuliani said. Last week on “Fox News Sunday,” Clinton attempted to discredit Patricia Smith, the mother of Benghazi hero Sean Smith, arguing that she “may not fully recall everything that was or wasn’t said.” (RELATED: Anti-Trump Father Of Muslim Soldier Wants Out Of The Spotlight, He Says In TV Interview [VIDEO])
