Amber Heard was present and accounted for at her deposition Saturday in her ongoing divorce and domestic violence suit against ex-husband Johnny Depp. However, the 30-year-old starlet surprisingly did not testify.
TMZ reports that Heard stayed in a nearby office and did not enter the conference room where Depp’s lawyers were present a single time. Also said to be present was a videographer and court reporter.
Heard seems committed to her cause, as she showed up around 11:30 AM (an hour and a half late) and didn’t leave until 9 PM. That begs the question, just what exactly was going on all day?
According to TMZ, the two sides were working on a settlement but nothing concrete has been agreed upon quite yet. It’s still unknown why Heard never joined them in the room or answered any questions.
This is yet another odd chapter in the ongoing Hollywood divorce saga. Back in May, Heard filed for divorce from Depp after just 15 months of marriage. She then claimed that the actor physically abused her doing their relationship, a claim that Depp and his camp vehemently deny. Since then, their messy and public split has seen several setbacks and roadblocks including rebound rumors, furniture scandals and more.
