Samsung, a sponsor of the 2016 Rio Olympics gave all athletes competing in the games free Galaxy S7 smartphones, but North Korea’s athletes never received the gifts.
An official told Radio Free Asia that a North Korea’s Olympic Committee official picked up the phones from the South Korean cell phone company but never distributed them to the nation’s 31 competitors.
According to reports, Yoon Sungbum, the official in question, will not say where the phones are now.
