A 21-year-old Arizona man is staring at years in prison after he joked about killing his roommates on Twitter, and then actually killed one of them a couple days later.
Zac Penton of Gilbert, Arizona was apparently having a challenging Friday night when he tweeted he needed to leave his apartment before his insatiable bloodlust ended multiple human lives.
I need to move out of my place before I viciously murder my roommates

At the time, Penton’s tweet was likely intended as a joke. When somebody asked what he meant, he said his two roommates were in a drunken fight after one of them was stung by a bee.
@Zac_Penton they literally just got into a drunk fight after one of them was stung by a bee, like wtf

Joking or not, Penton’s murderous urges were unfortunately all too real. Fewer than 48 hours later, on Sunday morning, Penton called the police to tell them he’d shot his roommate, 41-year-old Daniel Garofalo, in an unspecified home altercation. Garofalo was pronounced dead at the scene. (RELATED: Cops Arrive At Murder Scene, Find Suspect Chewing On Victim’s Face)
Gilbert police have apparently been combing Penton’s voluminous Twitter page to see if his comments provide enough evidence of premeditation to support a first degree murder charge. Most of Glibert’s tweets, though, are incredibly dull, with the occasional regrettable-in-hindsight reference to shooting and guns.
Anyone wanna shoot todayyyyy
