Kerri Walsh Jennings Defends Ryan Lochte: ‘He’s Not A Terrible Person’

Days after the U.S. swimmer lost millions in endorsement deals — including Speedo USA and Ralph Lauren — because he “exaggerated” a story about being robbed at gunpoint during the Summer Olympics in Rio, the volleyball player is standing up for him.

“He’s not a terrible person,” Walsh Jennings said. “He made a mistake it sounds like and he’s going to pay for his mistake, and I think that’s all that can be done.”

“I don’t think we need to crucify the guy,” she added.
