The campaign manager for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump announced Thursday that she is “confounded” with Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s refusal to discuss her policy agenda.

“No press conference in 263 days, very few interviews, one last night on a different network that didn’t really go very well,” said Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway on CBS. “Why isn’t she out there saying, ‘Here’s how I’m going to rebuild the American economy. Here’s my position on energy independence.'”

“I’m just confounded that this is what Secretary Clinton is actually going to tell the American people after she’s so scarce. We simply don’t know what somebody who has been in public life for decades would do on issues that Americans tell pollsters … really animate them.”

Clinton is set to give a speech Thursday accosting Trump for his support of the allegedly racist “alt-right.” Conway told CBS that she isn’t “that familiar” with the movement, adding that Trump has yet to talk about the “alt-right,” even within internal circles.

Conway later added that the Trump campaign is “not at all” a platform for the movement. “It certainly isn’t part of our strategy meetings. It’s nothing that Mr. Trump says out on the stump.”

“Hillary Clinton is a smart woman. She has very smart, savvy strategists who know what they’re doing … We just feel at the Trump campaign that the voters deserve and expect a conversation on substantive issues.”

The Democratic nominee hasn’t seen the inside of a press conference in over 264 days. In fact, the only time she had a back and forth interaction with multiple members of the press was in front of the National Association of Black Journalists, and the National Association of Latino Journalists earlier this month.

During the event, Clinton only answered questions from a pre-approved list which were read aloud by hand-picked members of the press.

Clinton also recently announced a renewed round of ad placements that attack Trump in key battleground states.
