WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said on Friday that the reason Hillary Clinton hasn’t faced prosecution is because she has “elite immunity.”

Appearing on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends,” Assange was asked “how high does the corruption go in DC… is that why [Clinton] is untouchable” to which he replied, “Depending on how you defy corruption all the way to the top, obviously.” (RELATED: Assange: Wikileaks Will ‘Absolutely’ Release ‘Significant’ Hillary Documents Before Election)

“I mean, no surprise to say that,” Assange added. “What’s happening is a form of elite immunity. Now, Hillary Clinton, her administration with Obama, has prosecuted more journalists and journalist sources including us and our alleged sources all under the Espionage Act, than all previous presidents combined.” (RELATED: Assange Blasts Hillary For Trying To ‘Distract’ From WikiLeaks Revelations [VIDEO])

“In fact, more than three times as many as all previous presidents combined. They have gone after reporters from Fox, from AP, as well as a wide variety of other sources and smaller outfits. So when you see that Hillary Clinton has not been prosecuted for more than a hundred classified messages that she had exchanged, including ones that bear classification labels, that is elite immunity.”

“Now, Hillary Clinton is not the only one who has elite immunity. Yes, it’s because of the size of her network, the  amount of cronyistic influences she’s developed, she’s a hard target for people to tackle,” Assange said because Clinton “affect them back. But you also see no one from the National Security Agency was prosecuted as a result of — like the Snowden disclosures. James Clapper has not.”

Assange went on to say that there is “political elite immunity as well.”
