Multiple Polls Show Trump Holding His First Lead Since Democratic Convention

Two new polls give Donald Trump a slight lead over Hillary Clinton, his first since the conclusion of the Democratic National Convention in July.

Both Los Angeles Times and UPI give Trump an extremely slight lead of .7 percent heading into the last weekend in August. (RELATED: New Poll Gives Trump Lead Over Clinton In Florida)

In the LA Times poll, released on Thursday, Trump trailed Clinton by as many as 2 points earlier this week, notes Breitbart.

Trump saw a 4 point jump in UPI’s figures, released Friday, across the same timeframe.

Additionally, UPI notes that the number of undecided voters and voters backing Gary Johnson or Jill Stein “fell to its lowest level to date (3.74 percent).”

Clinton still holds a significant lead over Trump in the national average. (RELATED: Clinton Leads Trump By 10 In New Poll)

The Thursday data from Quinnipiac University give the former secretary of state a 10 point lead over the real estate mogul, and the Real Clear Politics Average gives her a six point lead.
