An incredible trailer has been released for the upcoming documentary about fighting in hockey titled, “Ice Guardians.”
The plot of the film, according to the preview description, is:

Very few understand this position and even fewer appreciate what is involved in becoming one. It’s a punishing profession unlike any other, holding little mercy for its candidates on or off the ice. Fighting in hockey is the one major thing that separates the culture of the NHL from the culture of other major professional sports leagues. Fighting in the MLB, NBA and NFL is incredibly rare, and when an actual fight happens it results in immediate suspensions. For this reason there is a lot of fake tough guys and trash talking because the players know there aren’t any physical consequences.
However, in hockey there is always a very real possibility you might get hammered for saying or doing the wrong thing. There aren’t any fake tough guys playing in the NHL. Everybody knows how to fight and everybody will go if they have to.
