Woody Allen has “no interest” in answering questions about past alleged sexual abuse during the promotion of his upcoming movie.

In an interview with the Guardian to promote his movie “Cafe Society,” the 80-year-old film maker and actor did not want to talk about past alleged child abuse allegations involving his daughter Dylan when she was seven-years-old and chalked it up to “tabloid stupidity.” (RELATED: Blake Lively Blasts Cannes For Woody Allen Rape Joke)

“I have no interest in all of that,” Allen said. “I find that all tabloid stupidity. That situation had been thoroughly, thoroughly investigated up and down the line by New York social services in a 14-month investigation.”

“It had been investigated by Yale and conclusions were clear and I have no interest in that whole situation,” he added. “I get harassed all the time on it. But it doesn’t affect me and I just have no interest in it.”

Earlier this year, at the Cannes Film Festival, actress Blake Lively spoke out against the directors of the festival after the comedian Laurent Lafitte made a rape joke involving Allen during the ceremonies saying it was nice he’s been filming in Europe, even if he wasn’t being “convicted for rape in the U.S.”

“I think any jokes about rape, homophobia or Hitler is not a joke,” Lively said. “I think that was a hard thing swallow in 30 seconds. Film festivals are such a beautiful, respectful festivals of film and artists and to have that, it felt like it wouldn’t have happened if it was in the 1940s.”
