Dolly Parton Is Back On Top After 25 Years [VIDEO]

Dolly Parton is back at number one after 25 years.

On Tuesday, the 70-year-old country legend took the number one spot for her latest album “Pure and Simple,” according to Billboards Top Country Albums Chart.

WATCH:

The album sold more than 20,000 copies in the first week out. The last time the singer was in the top spot was May 18, 1991 for her “Eagle When She Flies” album. (RELATED: Dolly Parton: Americans Want ‘Real Change’ This November)

“Boy, it’s a good day for me,” Parton said upon learning the news. “I am a happy girl! It feels great to be No. 1, as it’s been a long time, and it feels so good to still be in the game after all this time.” (RELATED: Dolly Parton Weighs In On ‘Bathroom Bill’)

This is the seventh album in Parton’s history to make number one.
