Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane sat during the national anthem Thursday night before the game against the Oakland Raiders.

Lane told the media that his actions were an effort to support the embattled 49ers quarterback. (RELATED: Hookstead’s Hot Take: America Stood Up For Colin Kaepernick, He Should Stand For The Flag)
“I wasn’t trying to say anything, just standing behind Kaepernick. I just like what he’s doing,” he told the media after the game.
Lane also made it clear that nobody in the Seahawks organization was aware of his plans prior to the game.
