NFL Player Joins Kaepernick, Sits During National Anthem [PHOTO]

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane sat during the national anthem Thursday night before the game against the Oakland Raiders.

Lane joined San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in choosing to sit during the national anthem in an attempt to protest oppression. (RELATED: Colin Kaepernick Sits During National Anthem With Hundreds Of Veterans In Attendance [VIDEO])

“I wasn’t trying to say anything, just standing behind Kaepernick. I just like what he’s doing,” he told the media after the game.

Lane also made it clear that nobody in the Seahawks organization was aware of his plans prior to the game.
