Team USA hockey coach John Tortorella will not allow any of his players to sit during the national anthem.

“If any of my players sit on the bench for the national anthem, they will sit there the rest of the game,” Tortorella told ESPN when asked about San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick sitting during the national anthem. (RELATED: Hookstead’s Hot Take: America Stood Up For Colin Kaepernick, He Should Stand For The Flag)

That is a stance in stark contrast to 49ers head coach Chip Kelly who claims he has never even discussed the subject with Kaepernick. (RELATED: Colin KaepernickWill Remain Sitting During National Anthem [VIDEO])

The dual-threat quarterback of the 49ers has been the center of a media firestorm for his refusal to stand during the national anthem in an attempt to protest what he believes is oppression.
