A company is now out with what they call the “USB Killer.” As they put it, this device “instantly and permanently disables unprotected hardware.” They announced the proof of concept a year ago, but now it the USB Killer is available for purchase.
Unfortunately, due to what can only be considered extremely high demand, the product is currently sold out. New stock will be available on September 14. In the meantime, make sure to guard your USB ports. You never know who might be out to get you.
