Sharon Osbourne said she left her talk show last spring after too much work and travel led to a “complete and utter” breakdown.

On Monday, the 63-year-old talk show host talked about what happened that lead to her breakdown and her disappearance for six weeks from her show “The Talk.” (RELATED: Sharon Osbourne ‘Still Disgusted’ By Ozzy Osbourne)

“I had a complete and utter breakdown,” Osbourne said. “I woke at [Los Angeles]’ Cedars-Sinai hospital. For probably three days, I knew nothing.” (RELATED: Sharon Osbourne Talks About Relationship With Ozzy: ‘He’s A Dirty Dog’)

“I couldn’t think, I couldn’t talk; I could do nothing,” she added. “My brain just shut down on me. It took me days before I could even speak — I didn’t want to speak, I didn’t want to eat, I didn’t want talk to anyone, and I couldn’t keep thoughts in my head.”

“My head was like a whirlpool going around and around and around, and not one thought would stay in.”

Osbourne said she was sent to another facility from the hospital that was “equipped to deal with mental issues.” With the help of group therapy, meditation and yoga, she said she knows how to handle things better now.

“I have got a good grip on the problem that I have,” she said. “I’m in control; it doesn’t control me. If I can help somebody else along the way, I would feel great to be able to give whatever advice or just what I went through to help somebody else, so they don’t feel ashamed or anything like that.”
