In the awkward daytime TV moment of the week, Dr. Mehmet Oz complimented GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump for kissing his daughter Ivanka.
The show — which Politico‘s John Bresnahan has never heard of — was originally intended to reveal Trump’s medical records. But that’s not happening.
“It’s nice to see a dad kiss his daughter,” Oz told Trump.
Trump replied, “I kiss her any chance I get.”
The show is being taped early. It’ll air Thursday.
Trump likely enjoyed the kiss. After all, he once said if Ivanka wasn’t his daughter, he’d like to date her.
“Although she does have a very nice figure,” he said in a 2006 appearance on ABC’s The View. “I’ve said that if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps, I would be dating her.”
