Glenn Beck has reached a settlement with a Saudi student he repeatedly named as being involved in the Boston Marathon bombing.

On Tuesday, the conservative radio show host along with several other companies reached an undisclosed settlement with Saudi-born Abdulrahman Alharbi, according to Politico. Alharbi filed a defamation suit against the host, his company The Blaze, Mercury Radio Arts, and his distributor for being named numerous times as financing the Boston Marathon terrorist attack in 2013. (RELATED: Glenn Beck Suspended From SiriusXM Radio)

“The parties in this matter have reached a settlement of the pending action,” both sides in the case said in a joint statement. “The terms of the settlement are confidential. No party has admitted any fault, wrongdoing, or responsibility as part of the settlement.” (RELATED: Glenn Beck: If Cruz Loses Indiana ‘I Will Be Suicidal’)

“Defendants have agreed to settlement of the pending action in furtherance of fundamental principles of journalistic integrity by preserving the confidentiality of their sources consistent with their rights and privileges under the First Amendment,” they added. “The Plaintiff has pursued this action for the reasons set forth in his Complaint and believes those interests have been served by this resolution.”

The  U.S. District Court Judge Patti Saris overseeing the case had wanted Beck to share his sources who had pegged Alharbi as the “money man.” Beck was unwilling to hand that information over and had stressed that giving such information could lead to their death. The same ruling however destroyed Alharbi chances of getting punitive damage in the case, thus both sides were looking to find a resolution.
