The latest national poll has Donald Trump virtually tied with Hillary Clinton.
According to data collected by CBS News and the New York Times, Clinton currently leads Trump by five points among registered voters.
However, Clinton’s lead shrinks to two points when the survey is limited to likely voters, and she is tied with Trump at 42 percent when third party candidates are factored into the race.
Both Clinton and Trump continue to struggle with general unfavorable levels.
The two candidates were viewed unfavorably by 54 percent of surveyed voters.
Five days after collapsing at a 9/11 memorial service and subsequently revealing a prior pneumonia diagnosis, Clinton performs worse than Trump when voter are asked if they view the candidates as “honest and trustworthy.”
63 percent of voters believe Clinton isn’t trustworthy, compared to 60 percent for Trump.
