Fulton County Superior Court Judge T. Jackson Bedford made the decision after Gordon — who was Brown’s boyfriend at the time of her death — failed to appear in court for the second time in the wrongful death lawsuit her estate filed last year.

Bedford reportedly said anything alleged by the plaintiff is admitted through omission because he was a no show. He will now determine the amount of damages Brown’s estate will be rewarded.

The suit was asking for $50 million. (RELATED: Nick Gordon: Whitney Houston’s Daughter Abused Drugs After Her Death)

“In court today, we finally finished a long journey for justice for Bobbi Kristina Brown,” Brown’s attorney David Ware said outside of the courthouse Friday. “The court agrees with us, by striking Mr. Gordon’s answer that he is legally responsible for her death.”

“The only thing left to prove is the value of her life. We intend to do that.”

“We are praising God,” the Brown family said in a statement to People magazine. “This has been a long time coming. But all the judgments in the world won’t bring Krissy back.”

“We miss her every single day. Even when there’s justice, it’s not comfort. She was gone too soon, and we all have to live with that. I hope Nick lives with it every day for the rest of his life, because we sure are.”

Gordon was the person who called 911 when Brown was found face down and unresponsive in the bathtub of her Atlanta home the two shared.

Last June, he asked the judge to stop the wrongful death lawsuit filed against him by her family until the criminal process was over. (RELATED: Why Nick Gordon Fears He’ll Be Charged With Murder Of Whitney’s Daughter)
