Actress Kerry Washington may be drinking too much Kool-Aid in that fake oval office on the set of ABC’s Scandal. Or maybe she really thinks she’s Olivia Pope in real life?

Her new claim that the media is in the tank for Donald Trump is absurd.

Has she watched “CNN Tonight” with Don Lemon lately? Does she read WaPo‘s Chris Cillizza? Or The Weekly Standard‘s Bill Kristol? Or NYT‘s Charles Blow? Does she watch MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”? Not that she should, but does she read BuzzFeed?

They all despise him. And that short list doesn’t even begin to cover all the reporters and pundits who don’t want Trump to be president.

“There’s a bigger problem, which is right now, we are in a political climate where we are being led—by the media, no offense—to vote for the loudest candidate and the meanest, bulliest candidate in the playground, and that we are voting based on a cult of personality or a cult of celebrity rather than voting in our own best interest,” Washington said during an appearance on HBO’s Bill Maher program Friday night. “I think if we really look at policy, voting for Trump is voting against our best interests as Americans—as workers, as people of color, as women. Not voting is voting against ourselves.”

Right. It’s Maher — the pot fiend. Maybe the fumes got to her.
