Obama did not address the string of suspected terror attacks that occurred over the weekend, instead opting to tell potential Democratic donors that America’s “very polarized society” will make the 2016 election closer than it should be.  (RELATED: Obama Fundraising Instead Of Giving Statement On NYC, New Jersey Bombings)

“This should not be a close election, but it will be,” Obama pontificated. “The reason it will be is not because of Hillary’s flaws, but because structurally, we’ve become a very polarized society.”

“It’s very hard for you to think you’re going to vote for someone who you’ve been told is taking the country in the wrong direction,” he continued. “I will also say there is a reason why we haven’t had a woman president.”

Obama claimed that America still “grapples with what it means to see a powerful woman, and it still troubles us in a lot of ways, unfairly.”
