Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said Monday he was completely correct labeling the attack in Manhattan a bombing hours before officials announced the device used, according to an appearance on Fox and Friends.

“I heard I was criticized for calling it correctly, but I was actually correct,” Trump said. “I should be a newscaster because I called it before the news.”

Trump told supporters during a rally Saturday that the attack in New York City’s Chelsea district was a bomb, hours before there was any official recognition of the type of device used in the attack.

“I must tell you that just before I got off the plane, a bomb went off in New York,” Trump said during the rally. “And nobody knows exactly what’s going on.”

“We better get very tough, folks. We better get very, very tough,” he continued.

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton told reporters she didn’t feel it was wise to disclose facts before they were officially corroborated, but did refer to the attack as a bombing, according to the Washington Post.

“I think it’s always wiser to wait until you have information before making conclusions,” she said.
