It’s been said that truth is stranger than fiction. Not this time! This time, it’s definitely the other way around. No, really.

Oliver Gottell, Entertainment Weekly:

Stars of The West Wing are reuniting to hit the campaign trail — this time for a real-life presidential candidate.

A decade after the NBC political drama concluded, cast members Richard Schiff (Toby), Allison Janney (C.J.), Bradley Whitford (Josh), Dulé Hill (Charlie), Joshua Malina (Will), and Mary McCormack (Kate) are set to stump for Hillary Clinton in Ohio.

Grandma sure does love to watch her stories. Last week she told us how much she enjoys Madam Secretary and misses The Good Wife. Now she’s getting a boost from some other fictional Democrats people actually like.

What a great show The West Wing was. I’ll never forget this dramatic moment, when President Josiah “Jed” Bartlet and Chief of Staff Leo McGarry had a heart-to-heart about Bartlet’s big secret: Years before, he’d been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Because I wanted to be the president.”

The crazy things Aaron Sorkin dreamed up on that show, huh? Just imagine: The Democratic Party’s nominee for president, keeping such a devastating illness completely secret from the public for years and managing to get elected.

Yeah, right!
