Black NFL QB Responds To Charlotte Riots With A Message From Martin Luther King Jr.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III posted a message on Instagram appearing to be targeting the riots in Charlotte, N.C.

The injured dual-threat quarterback posted the MLK Jr. quote, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

He captioned the photo with an emoji of praying hands and the words, “All love, no hate.”

RGIII also isn’t the only sports figure to weigh in on the situation. Charlotte Hornets owner and NBA legend Michael Jordan has also asked people to remain calm.
