Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz clearly knows that winning comes only with preparation.
The second overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft reportedly secretly tried to watch game film while on a date with his girlfriend Melissa Uhrich, according to the New York Post.
While Wentz has since turned pro and become Philadelphia’s prized franchise quarterback, Uhrich continues to support him as she did during their college years. And while she won’t hesitate to take his cellphone away during date nights — he was caught watching game film under the dinner table — she understands how much her boyfriend is dedicated to his craft.

That move shows he has a gritty veteran mentality, and I absolutely love it. You can date people at any point in your life, but you can only win football games for so long. I don’t care if Wentz is hanging out at the Playboy mansion during a bender surrounded by half-naked women; I still want him watching film if I’m his coach.
Wentz might be my new favorite player because I only cheer for winners, and clearly that’s the only word available to describe this gunslinger.
