After the actor’s 30-year-old ex-girlfriend Cathriona White committed suicide in her Los Angeles home last September, her estranged husband filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Carrey blaming him for her death. Now TMZ is reporting that he has revised it to say that Carrey gave her STIs, too. (RELATED: Jim Carrey Hit With Wrongful Death Lawsuit After Ex-Girlfriend Commits Suicide)

In the lawsuit, Mark Burton — the husband — claims that White texted Carrey in 2013 and told him she had contracted Herpes Type I, Herpes Type 2 and Gonorrhea.

Burton alleges that White called herself “damaged goods” in a letter to Carrey.

Carrey’s lawyer said the claims are”categorically disputed.” (RELATED: The Devastating Suicide Note Jim Carrey’s Young Girlfriend Left Behind)

“This is a desperate, bogus claim made by the ‘husband’ of the sham marriage,” Marty Singer told TMZ.

“Burton engaged in an illegal sham marriage in violation of the Federal law prohibiting marriage fraud to evade immigration laws.”
