Alicia Machado was spotted on the red carpet for the first time since her feud with Donald Trump became public.
The former Miss Universe — who has made multiple headlines after Hillary Clinton brought up her name during the first presidential debate — was dressed in a gold floor-length gown when she presented an award at the Metropolitan Fashion Week in California.
Machado blames the Republican nominee for the two eating disorders she developed because she says he teased her about the weight she gained after she won the crown. (RELATED: When Megyn Kelly Asked Miss Universe This Question About Donald Trump, She Had No Answer)
“When I was young, [Trump] humiliated me, insulted me, disrespected me both publicly and privately in the cruelest way,” Machado wrote on Instagram. “The same way this happened to me, it’s clear that throughout the years, he’s continued his actions and behavior with other women.”
“I will continue to stand on my feet, sharing my story and my absolute support for Secretary Clinton, on behalf of all women — my sisters, aunts, grandmothers, cousins, women within the community.” (RELATED: Alicia Machado Mocks Melania Trump In New Interview With Cosmopolitan)
