Donald Trump’s campaign manager is accusing Tim Kaine of being “sexist” for repeatedly interrupting and ignoring the female moderator during Tuesday’s vice presidential debate.

The debate was moderated by Elaine Quijano of CBS News.

Appearing on Fox News on Wednesday, Trump aide Kellyanne Conway said she was using the word “sexist” because of the proclivity of Democrats to use it against their opponents.

“Well, I love using that word because it’s the word that the left and the Democrats and Hillary Clinton’s folks love to employ against everyone who doesn’t support her. If you don’t support her — Hillary Clinton — you’re a sexist,” Conway said.

“So why in the world was her running mate interrupting and ignoring the female moderator?” Conway asked. “Asian-American female moderator by the way. It was almost like it was his strategy; it was almost like he didn’t hear her and it came off terribly on TV.”

During the debate, Conway first broached the issue as Kaine repeatedly interrupted during his debate with Republican Mike Pence.

“How many times has @TimKaine ignored and interrupted the female moderator tonight? #sexist,” Conway wrote on Twitter.

In September, Hillary Clinton supporters, including adviser Neera Tanden of the Center for American Progress, accused NBC’s Matt Lauer of sexism for his interruptions of Clinton during a forum he moderated.

In the aftermath of Tuesday’s debate, the Republican National Committee has hit Kaine for repeatedly interrupting Pence more than 70 times during the debate.
