Miley Cyrus compared the Kardashians to Donald Trump, saying the country is “obsessed” with celebrities.
The 23-year-old pop singer told Variety that people in this country crave and can’t get enough of celebrities and that is the one of the reasons the Republican presidential nominee has made it this far. (RELATED: Miley Cyrus: ‘Donald Trump Is A F***ing Nightmare’)

“This is not a dig,” Cyrus said. “But I do think there’s something that goes with the Kardashians and Trump. The Kardashians are better than Trump, because they are not trying to run the country.”(RELATED: Miley Cyrus Just Mocked Donald Trump In A Way That’s Sure To Strike A Nerve)
“They are just trying to be famous, and that’s fine,” she added. “We are obsessed with celebrity. When Trump started this, I was laughing. I thought it’s not going to go anywhere; there’s no way he’ll be the candidate.”

The former Disney actress turned pop singer has said previously she was all in for Bernie Sanders but says she will vote for Hillary Clinton. She can’t understand why any Sanders supporters are even considering voting for Trump.
“That’s fucking crazy and you’re out of your mind,” she told Variety. “It’s literally pissing me off more than anything. If you could ever consider Donald Trump, you never understood Bernie in the first place.”
This is not the first time Cyrus has shared her thoughts on the Republican presidential nominee.

In July she was spotted wearing a red ball cap that read, “Make America Gay Again.”
The singer has also threatened to leave the country if Trump wins the election.
