Things got heated during Ben Carson’s Friday morning interview on “Morning Joe.”

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough had just pressured Carson on a statement he made about pushing Judeo-Christian values aside during the election season.

“Shouldn’t they apply right now as much as usual?” Scarborough posed. “As much as at any time?”

“Why is it that you people in the media –” started to say before being interrupted by Scarborough.

“Stop saying ‘you people.’ Stop saying ‘you people,'” he shot back at Carson. “You know what, why can’t you just give a straight answer?”

The pair continued to talk over each other until Carson asked, “why not just listen to what I’m telling you?”

“I am listening to what you’re telling me,” Scarborough shot back. “You can go back, and the great thing is we have transcripts and tapes, and you said we shouldn’t focus on Judeo-Christian values right now. It’s on the transcript. It’s on the tape. Do you think Judeo-Christian values apply during campaigns or only after campaigns?”

“No, let me tell you what I actually said, and I am glad it’s on the tape,” Carson stated. “I said I would love for us to engage in a conversation on Judeo-Christian values, and I would love for us to bring morality back, and we need to do it at times other than a political campaign.”

“Right now, what we need to do is concentrate on the reason that two out of three Americans feel that our country is on the wrong track.”
