In the final debate of the Florida Senate race Wednesday night, Democratic Rep. Patrick Murphy was attempting to apply pressure on GOP Senator Marco Rubio to withdraw his support for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump when Rubio turned the tables on Murphy.
On the topic of the Cuban embargo, which Trump is accused of violating, Murphy pointed out how it is one of Rubio’s top issues and then asked, “What’s it gonna take to get you to unendorsed Donald Trump?”
Rubio responded, “That’s bizarre, Congressman Murphy, you’re criticizing Donald Trump for supporting a position that you have. You support lifting the embargo. So finally Patrick Murphy agrees with Donald Trump on Cuba.”
