A reporter who wished for Donald Trump’s death Thursday morning is now apologizing, saying he was just kidding.
Wait — since when is the prospect of a presidential candidate’s death funny?
So far only right-leaning news sites are covering the news that an Los Angeles Times reporter wanted Trump dead are The Washington Examiner, Twitchy and the conspiracy site Infowars, run by Alex Jones.
LAT‘s Steven Borowiec announced bright and early Thursday morning at 6:46 a.m. that wanted he wanted Trump dead. He was responding to a TIME tweet about a feature on Trump’s life.
The Washington Examiner first broke the news. The LAT PR operation has so far refused to respond to the Examiner. (ie. no one has “immediately” responded to a question on the matter.
