A top Hillary Clinton campaign adviser admitted to spouting “b.s.” to a reporter about how much he loved Clinton, a recently-leaked email reveals.

Jake Sullivan works on Clinton’s campaign as a foreign policy adviser. Sullivan emailed other top Clinton aides a few months before the official launch of Clinton’s campaign, Dec. 11, 2014, such as Huma Abedin and John Podesta, to discuss a phone conversation he’d just had with Associated Press reporter Anne Gearan. In the email, Sullivan said he spent the conversation “b.s.’ing” with Gearan about Clinton’s alleged positive traits.

“We talked about a bunch of things off the record, mostly me b.s.’ing about [how] great HRC is in a thousand different ways,” Sullivan says in the email.

Sullivan also claims he told Gearan the Benghazi scandal would amount to very little, even though he secretly thought otherwise. (RELATED: Podesta Says It’s An Understatement To Call Chelsea ‘Not Smart’)

“She believes Benghazi is a bigger liability than others think,” he says. “You all know my views on this — though I made a strong case to the contrary.”

Sullivan’s comments are from the most recent dump of emails from Podesta’s inbox, released by the online hacktivist group Wikileaks.
