The fire broke out on 17th and M Street in Northwest, D.C., at roughly 10:30 a.m. It is unclear what sparked the blaze, but the building is under construction and set to be demolished. No injuries are reported and crews were able to put the fire out by 11:05 a.m., reports WJLA.
Folks across the city are jesting that the fire is an ominous election day sign.
