A New York Daily News writer proposed an “organized resistance” on Twitter Tuesday night, as President-elect Donald Trump grew closer to winning the election.
Shaun King, a writer at the New York Daily News, informed his followers that they had time to form a resistance, as Trump edged closer and closer to winning.
Dear Friends,
If Donald Trump wins within the next hour, we still have 70 days before he becomes President
WE MUST ORGANIZE OUR RESISTANCE

As Trump garnered more electoral votes, King listed rebuttals for people who disagreed with the need for an “organized resistance.”
“When a man says he will forcefully deport 12 million illegal immigrants in 2 years don’t tell me we don’t need an organized resistance,” King wrote in one tweet.
When a man says he will ban all Muslims from entering this country, don’t tell me we don’t need an organized resistance.

When a man says he wants to institute a national policy of stop and frisk, fueled by racial and ethnic profiling, don’t tell me what we need

King told followers that this is not the time to brood over the results, because Trump is a dangerous enemy.
“Friends-I assure you that we do not have time to sulk. We have a few hours at most.We are up against a dangerous and nefarious foe,” he declared.
