DNC Staffer Wails On Donna Brazile In First Meeting After Election
A Democratic National Committee staffer lost his temper with the DNC’s interim chief at their first meeting since President-elect Donald Trump won, according to other DNC staffers.
The DNC staffer, only identified as Zach, reportedly accused Donna Brazile, the DNC’s interim chief, of “backing a flawed candidate,” reports the Huffington Post.
Zach interrupted a speech Brazile was giving about having hope for future victories, according to a person at the meeting.
“Why should we trust you as chair to lead us through this? You backed a flawed candidate, and your friend [former DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz] plotted through this to support your own gain and yourself,” Zach said, according to two attendees.
Apparently, people at the meeting booed and Brazile tried to answer him, only to be interrupted by Zach again.
“You are part of the problem. You and your friends will die of old age and I’m going to die from climate change. You and your friends let this happen, which is going to cut 40 years off my life expectancy,” Zach went on.
White House staffers also had trouble adjusting after losing the election. The Washington Post reported that while President Obama spoke after Trump’s victory, three White House staffers cried.
Some of the staffers closed their eyes and looked up to the sky. One staffer cried and said “I’m just sad.”
When one person suggested that the moment was “bittersweet,”another staffer replied “I don’t know about sweet.”
Neither Brazile nor the DNC returned The Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
