Former Illinois Rep. Aaron Schock has been indicted after having a whirlwind of a good time on the taxpayer’s dime.

His lavish, jet-setting lifestyle was brought to the public’s attention when he spent $35,000 renovating his office in Congress in the style of “Downton Abbey.” The Department of Justice concluded its year-long investigation into his use of federal funds Thursday, two days after Donald Trump won the presidency.

“I simply cannot believe it has come to this,” a statement by Schock said. “I intend to not only prove these allegations false, but in the process expose this investigation for what it was.”

Schock was even kind enough to bring a taxpayer-funded photographer with him as he traveled the world like a celebrity.

He may be indicted, but these exclusive pictures sure make it look like it was worth it.
