President-elect Donald Trump tweeted about the people protesting his defeat of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Thursday, praising the “passion” of some but criticizing “professional” protesters and the media for inciting them.

“Just had a very open and successful presidential election,” Trump tweeted Thursday night. “Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!”

Trump directed a more positive follow up tweet at “small groups” of protesters early Friday morning.

“Love the fact that the small groups of protesters last night have passion for our great country,” he said. “We will all come together and be proud!”

Since Trump’s win, Clinton supporters across the country have been reported beating up white people, burning American flags, vandalizing private property, threatening to assassinate Trump, and shouting violent slogans such as “Die Whites Die” and “Kill Trump.”
