The nation’s Republican governors met Monday in Orlando to strategize how they wanted the address important issues in the next year, according to the Associated Press.

The top issues discussed in the meeting included changes to Medicaid, public education, as well as public transportation and infrastructure. Republican leaders want to change Medicaid into a federal block grant program that would enable individual states to have greater control over how the program is administered.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker told the group that Trump’s nationwide victory last Tuesday gives GOP leadership a chance to “push their wishlists.”

Florida Gov. Rick Scott added that it was important that Republicans nationwide tackle the Affordable Care Act “before it’s too late.”

The Republican Party now controls 31 governor seats nationwide, flipping 3 seats in last Tuesday’s election.
