Matt Harrigan, president and CEO of PacketSled, stepped down Monday after he threatened to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump.

Harrigan threatened Trump on his personal Facebook page, which has since been deactivated. Some of the comments were captured by Reddit users, which can be found here.

“I’m going to kill the president. Elect,” he wrote. After Facebook users posted concerned replies, Harrigan doubled down, saying: “Nope, getting a sniper rifle and perching myself where it counts. Find a bedroom in the whitehouse that suits you motherfucker. I’ll find you.”

His final post read: “In no uncertain terms, fuck you America. Seriously. Fuck Off.”

After making his threats, Harrigan apparently realized he had gone too far. He took to Twitter to try to calm the public backlash.

PacketSled initially responded with a statement Sunday saying that once the company was made aware of the CEO’s comments, it, “immediately reported this information to the secret service and will cooperate fully with any inquiries. These comments do not reflect the views or opinions of PacketSled, its employees, investors or partners.”

Harrigan offered to step down Monday, and PacketSled accepted his offer.

In statement to the public, the company wrote: “The PacketSled Board of Directors accepted the resignation of President and CEO Matthew Harrigan, effective immediately. Fred Wilmot, the company’s Chief Technology Officer, will serve as interim CEO while the Board of Directors conducts a search for a permanent replacement. We want to be very clear, PacketSled does not condone the comments made by Mr. Harrigan, which do not reflect the views or opinions of the company, its employees, investors or partners. ”

The U.S. Secret Service is aware of Harrigan’s comments, the New York Post reports.
